We live in a culture of frictionless consumption where objects are purchased, used, replaced, and forgotten. In digital systems, we are asked to agree to terms and conditions before participation. In physical life, however, we rarely pause to consider our relationship to the objects we own. The result is disposability not just of things, but of meaning. User Agreement is a speculative book project that reframes ownership as a conscious, ritualized act. Positioned at the intersection of design theory, material culture, and behavioral reflection, the project explores how we might slow down consumption by formalizing emotional commitment to the objects we bring into our lives. The book adopts a hybridized visual language of religion and advertising, marrying connotative typography with flexible layouts. This tension creates a deliberate friction that invites reconsideration. I conceptualized the framework, co-authored the narrative structure, and designed the full publication system
